* Concentrate on the most important aspects of practice and performance.
* Whether we’re beginners or professionals, we all have our own limits to deal with.
* Distractions and doubts.
* Recognize your own mistakes while performing.
* Enhance your performance and communication of your song to your audience.
* Manage “hostile” possible situations in different places.
* Plan concerts that are appropriate and effective.
* Build confidence by utilizing effective pre-performance routines.
* Incorporate mental rehearsal, imagery, and positive routines into preparation
* Develop effective and efficient practice plans.
* Optimize your performance in concerts, auditions, or other situations, just as you do in practice.
* Have fun performing well in front of others.
* Deal with anxiety or fear while performing.
* Practice improvisation and have a good time on stage.
* Take pleasure in making mistakes and work with them.
* Work with your own songs and get the greatest possible emotional experience from them.
* Enhance your sound.
* Optimize your soundcheck time to achieve a good performance.
* The system of memorizing the hard and easy parts of a song.

The meetings may include lesson techniques, but I aim to go beyond the usual lessons. My aim is to overcome the obstacles that are preventing you from achieving your desired improvement. Each musician is unique, and it’s a work that is completely personal. My work is to understand you and help you improve your musical potential. My background knowledge is based on my own experience playing Stick in live concerts in many different situations, including solo concerts, bands, tours, recordings, and teaching.

I’m so proud to be a guest in a TED conference.
As they define themselves, TED is «a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world.»
This conferences are intended to introduce people who can influence other people in some way. The talk are recorded and included in a big database to share in the world. In my personal life, I have been working with music for more than 20 years trying to do it with passion and a clean spirit. The Stick has been my language but at the end, there is a human being trying to contact other humans being. I think it is the first time a stick player have the chance to talk to large audience in TED. I did my best offering my honest point of view about music, dreams and how to try to make the difference with just one single musical note.

GUILLERMO CIDES – TEDx CONFERENCE
Es un gran honor ser uno de los invitados para una de las conferencias TED.
Tal como ellos se definen a si mismos, TED es «una comunidad global, dando la bienvenida a personas de todas las disciplinas y la cultura que buscan una comprensión más profunda del mundo. Creemos apasionadamente en el poder de las ideas para cambiar actitudes, vidas y, en última instancia, el mundo.»
Estas conferencias intentan presentar a personas que puedan influir en otras personas. Son grabadas e incluidas en una gran base de datos para compartir en el mundo. En mi caso personal, he estado trabajando con la música por mas de 20 años, intentando hacerlo con pasión y espíritu limpio. El Stick ha sido mi lenguaje pero al final, somos seres humanos intentado conectarnos con otros seres humanos. Creo que es la primera vez que un stickista tiene la chance de hablar para grandes audiencias en TED. Intenté dar lo mejor de mi ofreciendo mi honesto punto de vista acerca de la música, los sueños y como hacer la diferencia con solo una nota musical.
